When a learner decides to follow the Full Time National course, he/she will attend classes during the week until the three NQF Levels are successfully completed. There after learners will gain practical work place experience in a registered salon before applying for the National Trade Test.

When a learner decides to follow the Part Time National course, he/she will attend classes while employed at a registered salon, until the three NQF Levels are successfully completed and the remainder of the time students will be required to work in a registered salon to complete their practical workplace experience allowing them to qualify to complete their National Trade Test.
