Distance Learning Skills

NATIONAL QUALIFICATION LEARNING PROGRAMME: Distance

NATIONAL NQF LEVEL 4

DURATION:  1 YEAR

Students need to meet the following criteria to study through Serwalo Hair Academy:.

Full Time employed at a salon.

Work as an apprentice under the supervision of a qualified hairdresser.

A detailed logbook of workplace practical experience (WPE) should be kept.

All worksheets and assignments must be completed and submitted before Training.

Practical tasks to be signed off by a qualified hairdresser in the Salon and a Statement of work experience will have to be submitted.

How will it work?

Students will receive their equipment, and schedule for the year.  Worksheets and assignments will be supplied, and submission dates will be communicated. Students will have to complete both theoretical and practical assignments of which certain tasks will have to be signed off by qualified.

Students will attend workshops at Serwalo Main campus on dates specified. Students will have to    arrange their own travel and accommodation during these workshops.

Workshop dates:

Workshops will take place during school holidays and formal dates will be communicated upon induction.

During induction the content, schedule and requirements for the course will be explained in depth.
